Who we are
This website is run by NanoFormiX Limited, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 17475056), with its registered office at 12 Cumberland Avenue, Liverpool, L17 2AQ. NanoFormiX is the data controller for the personal information described here. If you have any questions about this policy or your information, email us at info@nanoformix.com.
What we collect
When you contact us. If you email us or use the form on our Contact page, we receive the details you choose to send: usually your name, email address, organisation and message. Messages sent through the form are stored securely by Wix, our website host, and your name and email address are saved in our contact list there so we can reply.
When you visit the website. Our website host, Wix, records basic information about visits, such as the pages viewed, the type of device and browser, the referring website and an approximate location based on your IP address. We use this only as overall statistics about how the site is used. We do not use it to identify you.
We do not use advertising, marketing trackers or social media tracking on this website, and we do not sell personal information.
How we use it and why
- To reply to your enquiry, arrange a demonstration or send information you have asked for. We rely on our legitimate interest in responding to people who contact us, or on taking steps at your request before entering into a contract.
- To keep in touch about our products where you are a customer or have shown interest, as long as you have not asked us to stop. Every message we send will tell you how to opt out.
- To understand how the website is used and improve it. We rely on our legitimate interest in running a useful website.
Who we share it with
We share information only with the service providers who help us run the business, and only so they can provide that service to us:
- Wix.com, which hosts this website, stores messages sent through the contact form and provides the visitor statistics.
- Our email provider, which stores the emails you send us.
- Google Fonts, which supplies the typeface used on this website. Your browser connects to Google to load it, which shares your IP address with Google.
Some of these providers may process information outside the UK. Where they do, they use safeguards recognised under UK data protection law, such as adequacy regulations or standard contractual clauses.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiries, whether sent by email or through the contact form, for as long as we need them to deal with your enquiry and any follow-up, and normally no longer than two years after our last contact, unless you become a customer or we are required to keep them for legal or accounting reasons. Website statistics are kept by Wix in aggregated form.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can ask us to give you a copy of your information, correct it, delete it, restrict how we use it, or transfer it to you or another organisation. You can also object to us using it, including for keeping in touch. To make a request, email info@nanoformix.com. We will reply within one month.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, please tell us first so we can put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
Cookies
Cookies are small files a website stores on your device. This website does not use advertising or tracking cookies.
Wix, our website host, may set a small number of cookies that are needed for the website to work securely, and cookies used to produce the anonymous visitor statistics described above. These statistics only help us understand how the site is used and are not used to identify or profile you.
You can block or delete cookies at any time in your browser settings, and the website will still work. If you would prefer us not to include your visits in our statistics, you can also email us and we will help.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top of the page shows when it was last changed.
